@Kennedy93Ashley I think thats so shady. Just let people express themselves!!! (unless its hate speech, obviously) If what people are saying is negative, then let that be the catalyst for change in your organization
I wonder what made classrooms go all high tech. When I was in school, the craziest technology thing we had was a SmartBoard in grade 11......Im not a teacher so I ask, does tech help in the classroom as much as we think it does? Or is it a distraction? More work maybe?
Organizations that use top-down methods of communicating are seeking to control the conversation or what is said and this can prevent people from participating in the conversation
I think its pretty cool how we are using social media to talk about the issues that are important to us. People all over the world can share in real time things they are experiencing and can connect with people across the globe
Teachers need to really research the technology they are bringing into the classroom. Maybe additional training on the new technology wouldnt be a bad thing. Keeping students safe online at home and in the classroom is so important
You definitely have to examine viral videos, they are often edited! Just because there are thousands of views doesnt mean its the truth or that its right.
The idea of digital code is a little scary no? One second youve closed your online shopping tab and the next you find an ad on facebook for the very thing you were looking at buying....panopticon effect or what
This class really was not what I was expecting. Its really opened my eyes to all sorts of issues/concerns that I really wasnt aware of! Definitely not JUST an education class
@danEDUC307 I think both! The more we educate kids about the internet and how to be safe while using it the better. I think the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" is so fitting for this issue, i think we all need to take responcibility and make sure our young people are safe online
