It has been fun learning about music integration this semester. I have gotten an opportunity to see how instruments, song, and movement an be included in a general classroom. After some reading, I wrote a clip about instruments within the classroom.

When I get uncomfortable, thatβs a sign that Iβm learning. So from now on, when I get uncomfortable, Iβm going to start getting more excited, because thatβs when I know Iβm growing.
When coaching gymnastics this week, a girl pulled me aside saying, "Miss Emily, I learned something cool in art class today and I made one for you!" She handed me this portrait of me wearing a mask that unfolds to show my smile. Learning can still be fun, even when masked!

@Mr_LeDune Meeting the students where they are at, not just academically but also with interests. What is something they enjoy doing? How can you tie those interests into their educational experience? Learning doesn't have to be monotonous work. Make it fun! That is how you get engaged.
