I remember when the “New World Order” was something people feared, and even mentioning it got you dismissed as a conspiracy theorist.

Now politicians and global institutions openly use language about a “new world order,” and somehow we’re supposed to hear that and think it’s a good thing.

That shift alone is frightening. What used to get people mocked as paranoid is now discussed openly as progress.

Call me old-fashioned, but when powerful political and financial elites start telling ordinary people that the world needs to be fundamentally reordered, I’m not lining up to applaud.

My vote is pretty fucking simple:

NO NEW WORLD ORDER.

You’re confusing “Trump negotiates with China” with “Trump and Carney are pursuing the same China policy.” They aren’t.

Trump negotiates with China while treating it as America’s principal strategic and economic competitor. The objective is leverage: extract concessions, protect American industries and advance American interests.

Carney, meanwhile, has called China the more “predictable” partner lately, his government is forging a new “strategic partnership” with Beijing, and Canada broke with the U.S. approach by dropping the tariff on a quota of Chinese EVs from 100% to 6.1%. This comes from the same Liberal Party whose previous leader famously said he had a “level of admiration” for China because its “basic dictatorship” could turn its economy around on a dime.

Talking to China isn’t the issue. Every serious government talks to China.

The question is whether you’re negotiating with China from a position of leverage to strengthen your country, or increasing your strategic dependence on Beijing while weakening the relationship with the country that buys the overwhelming majority of Canadian exports.

“Trump talks to China too” isn’t the gotcha you think it is.

After generations of indoctrination, critical thinking seriously needs to make a comeback. TDS and the insane liberal agenda have destroyed far too many people’s ability to ask questions, listen to both sides, challenge their own assumptions, and come to their own conclusions.

Not everyone who disagrees with them is the enemy. But once they label someone the enemy, they never have to listen to them, consider an alternative perspective, or admit when they are wrong.

Critical thinking means being willing to question everything, especially the beliefs you’re most certain are right. If your worldview can’t survive being challenged, maybe it wasn’t your own conclusion in the first place.

This really is a confusing moment for the Woke Jokes and “Elbows Up” crowd.

On one hand, respecting someone’s or (something's) new identity is apparently non-negotiable.

On the other hand… TRUMP renamed the lake.

TDS has collided head-on with identity politics and nobody knows which rule takes priority.

I suspect if Ottawa renamed it tomorrow in the name of diversity, reconciliation or “strengthening our strategic partnership” with China, we’d immediately be lectured that refusing to use the new name represents racist, bigoted and misogynistic fringe beliefs.
