Colleges should recruit students for academic reasons, not just sports. Have academic Signing Day with the hats... some students would have a table full of hats. The student announced WHY they selected the school. #education #stem #excellence

My oldest daughter just got notified of her acceptance into @michiganstateu PhD Physics Program at the age of 18 years old!! She will be one of the youngest, or the youngest, to graduate MSU with a BS in physics this April.

Why is this difficult to get ppl to understand? This is why I used to check each line of work students did... find the point of misunderstanding <usually forgetting a negative sign> This helped the students understand what they do know and to pay attention to precision.

This is why I am not in favor of timed basic skills tests for elementary school students. It has students focusing on the wrong thing... speed. The right focus is accuracy, percussion, conceptual understanding, number flexibility, thinking creatively about mathematics
