We exist to contribute to the provision of quality education by supporting the National Education Sector Plan to improve lives of vulnerable and underprivileged.
We are committed to uplifting quality of education amid #Covid19 pandemic in #Malwai. We train school-based psychosocial counselors for them to provide support to students so that they build resilience against #COVID19.@edukans @MastercardFdn@EdukansKenya
Cultivating a culture of protecting the environment among communities, including learners and teachers is a best bet for the promotion of sustainable development. #EcoSTARSchool project is at the centre of championing this in #Malawi. @edukans @EdukansKenya
COVID-19 is accelerating #DigitalTransformation across Africa. Young people need digital skills, as well as, entrepreneurship & work-readiness skills to respond to the changing nature of work and thrive in #Africa’s digital transformation.
As uncertainty hovers around school reopening in #Malawi, it is our collective responsibility to rethink teaching & learning delivery, especially for vulnerable groups, in rural areas. School closure is a huge economic threat! #Education2030#StopCOVID19Now#DefendEducation

Access to information on Covid-19 remains key to containing the spread of the pandemic. Creative Information Education Communication (IEC) materials should be made available to people, including students, in order to clear myths & end stigma and anxiety! #StopCovid19
On #InternationalDayofEducation ECW and our partners are calling on world leaders to put education & lifelong learning at the center of the #COVID19 recovery & accelerate educational support for children caught in protracted crises/emergencies. Learn more: https://t.co/y9Gj8zpDCJ
"Meanwhile, Covid-19 is depriving children of their right to learning as a result of school closure. Let's join hands to support both boys & girls to access education & prevent them from Covid-19 related stress, anxiety & stigma."-EEDF director, Dr. Jacqueline Chazema.
We can't agree more. In Malawi, we are contributing to the provision of #QualityEducation through promotion of such Active Teaching and Learning methodologies which are learner-centred. This helps to provoke critical thinking in learners as they discover things on their own.
#COVID19 has interrupted the education of millions of girls around the world who are more vulnerable to violence & exploitation as a result. Governments must take action to mitigate the effects of school closures on girls by investing in their safe return to school #EducationDay
#Education is the right of every child and the most powerful tool to build back better.
Quality education can transform lives and futures of not only individuals but entire communities. Investing in education means investing in more resilient world.

There is an increasing need to offer students Psychosocial support in order to encourage them to stay positive. And support them to deal with anxiety, stress and stigma related to #COVID19 . @edukans @MastercardFdn@EUinMalawi
We regard #PsychosocialSupport as one of the integral parts of our emergency response. In the photo is one of the trained counselors from Emchakachakeni CDSS (Mzimba district) supporting an adolescent girl to heal emotionally & rebuild herself amid #COVID19 outbreak. @edukans
