Saw this on a wall in one of buildings today and had this thought. We focus so much on teaching children to practice kindness, but how many adults do you know need a refresher?
I’ve been waiting for this day to come e all summer! Welcome back to our @Harvard50 educators for what I hope is an amazing year for both our staff and especially our students! #harvardrising

Statement Concerning USDE:
ISBE has not received any formal communication from leadership at the U.S. Department of Education or guidance.
ISBE received an informal communication from a career employee indicating that the entire State and Grantee Relations (SGR) office has been reduced. This office provides guidance and support that helps Illinois and other states receive federal funding. The employee said there was no guidance on how to ensure the state continues receiving payments for programs.
This is the extent of the information ISBE has available at the moment and it is deeply concerned about the potential implications. ISBE will be seeking clarity from senior officials at the U.S. Department of Education to help give families and students information they deserve to know about the $3.56 billion in federal funding we expect to receive in fiscal year 2025.

At our board meeting Monday, it was amazing to see the work of our teachers and students linking learning to real world problems such as helping those in need, supporting peers through art, and exploring careers such as becoming a patent attorney! @cjhdragons@CarySD26
The National Center for School-University Partnerships embraces improvement science in its bridge-building #PL efforts. By working together to fill gaps in expertise and capacity, all educational stakeholders can craft a culture of shared responsibility.
Our 8th graders put animal adaptations to the test by designing camouflaged moths and hiding them around the room. Staff became moth hunters, searching high and low—but some moths were so well-hidden, we couldn’t find them all! #Proud2BeD26@cjhdragons
