A5 to Q5- This program allows me to teach art in a more meaningful way. I feel empowered as a teacher to use this program to give all my students opportunities to express themselves creatively no matter what skill level they are at. #EquAALS
A4 to Q4: Students are willing to take risks and try new techniques in my class. The art strategies that students are learning in my room are helping them to feel empowered to be a part of the decision making when creating their art. #EquAALS
A3 to Q3: My students love that they get to work with different mediums when creating their pieces. They love to explore with collage, watercolor,pastels, and markers. #EquAALS
A2 to Q2: I like how the lessons are cross curricular and give students at all levels opportunities to express themselves and demonstrate their understanding of a topic. I like how the students are introduced to different types of techniques in art. #EquAALS
My students have been open to trying new techniques. They are willing to take risks and they are gaining more confidence in their abilities. They are seeing themselves as artists. #EquAALs
A5 to Q5- My greatest takeaway is that I love how art is integrated into ELA. I love that students get to demonstrate in creative ways their understanding of the content knowledge they are learning. #EquAALs

A2 to Q2- I like how the Visual Arts Integrated Curriculum introduces students to different elements and principles of art. . Students are excited to participate in the art lessons and are willing to try new art techniques. #EquAALs
A1 to Q1: I'm currently using the Integrated Visual Arts Curriculum. I taught the lesson "I have a Dream Portraits" for Unit 1: Government & Citizenship. The class and I really enjoyed comparing and contrasting the two portraits of Martin Luther King Jr. #EquAALs
