what mattered in class today is that each classmate had difficulties with their student’s behavior on valentines day and we were not alone in our struggles yesterday @DrTchr#edml584
On my resume I will showcase the years experience I had at an ubderprivelaged school. I will also showcase the time I have spend being a lifeguard instructor. #edml584@DrTchr
I learned that lessons will not always fill a class that that you may have to improvise. I will remember not to panic when it happens to me and to ask for help on how to extend the lesson. #584seniors2022@DrTchr
I am walking away from class learning that there are words we use everyday that are not okay to use. I will be taking these words out of my vocabulary and especially making sure I dont use them infront if middle schoolers. @DrTchr#edte522
When planning a lesson within a unit it is important that the lesson builds upon previous days. You cannot move on in a unit unless the class as a whole understands because students can get left behind academically. @DrTchr#edte522
We must “unlearn” or forget our pre concieved notions. We may hold students to different standards based on how they act or dress because of our underlying biases, but we have to have the same expectstions for each student in order for EVERYONE to succeed. @DrTchr#edml522
Today in class, I learned that being flexible in the class is very important. Even if certain things take longer than expected, be prepared to improvise. @DrTchr#edte522
I left class knowing that teachers collaborate across subjects and we get to practice as a group task. My “Why” is that I am passionate about students and the content they will learn. Most students hate math and I want to show them it can be easy with practice. @DrTchr#fall522
@DrTchr#edml470 It is important for teachers to familiarize themselves with these concepts because it shows the way students are supposed to learn. Students are supposed to form their own opinions and not remember facts that have been told to them.
@DrTchr#edml470 After class today, I understand the importance of giving students materials they care about, whether that is giving them options of what to do, or asking them how they learn best.
@DrTchr#EDML470 I learned that the best way to have book discussions is the keep the conversation open and let the students freely talk instead of skewing their views by asking a leading question.
