@heymrsbond I’m my experience Yes they do. You’d be surprised how many of those kids had fathers and grandfathers that served and they want to follow in their footsteps. Especially kids that were the II,III etc.

@mrskellylove We all have different experiences that give us different views. If it was wrong for you that’s ok. If it helps others that’s ok too. To each their own. I just hope those in these positions have the wisdom/confidence to make their own decisions about those they interact with.

@CallMeMoprah I’m a principal. This fall I put my school in lock down because we heard gunshots in the woods very close by. Followed all steps in record time and we all were safe. We finished the day fine but when I got in my car I cried for a long time before I drove home. I was not ok!

@TMcMahon23 Looming……on the precipice??? I am a middle school principal and we are already knee deep in the “change”. The last 2 offers I made were shelved by candidates while they “shopped” around. It was disheartening but I’m not shocked. 😕

@EThorntonGHS I use gentleman or Mr._____. Now I’m AA and from the south so sometimes when I’m being firm my mom voice slips out and I’ll say “Boy if you don’t….” But it’s rarely in from of non-AA. The struggle is real though.

@selmekki 21! This was “Nerd day” for spirit week. I still had my braces and glasses in real life so I just added a piece of white paper to my glasses to complete the look. Some of those kids are my friends now as I taught seniors. I’m 40 and my oldest student is 37!
