@JamesGreenhal20@captainjujubean@Wayne_J0nes Marketing costs went up 79% but marketplace revenues went up 58%. Ads as a % of revenue only went up from 11.41% to 12.87%.
Not a perfect analogy, but in the JB Hi-Fi example it'll be like they increased store count 79% and revenues up 60%.
@JamesGreenhal20@Wayne_J0nes What do you think was so bad about the results? It seems around expectations. 2020 was a very special year for E-commerce, so it's hardly fair to expect growth in 21-22.
@Principles00 I always see ads for a company that does exactly that with 'free plus shipping', bundle options on the checkout page, and a veryy long back-end

@michaelpatron0@Molson_Hart Have you thought about buying a ton of Amazon shares. It's not a bad investment and you might feel a tiny bit better when they rip you off, knowing you benefit on the investment side.
@JamesonCamp@Yannick_Veys@wizofecom@almightykazs But how would you find an astrology account to buy? Or something that's quite niche. What websites would you use and do they let you filter down to such a specific niche?
@peterdeptrai No haha I meant - what if your website prices things higher than similar products sold by competitors on Amazon - does it still make sense to list on Amazon then?
@ssstock Just heard you on the podcast and had to message you somehow... So refreshing to hear an E-commerce person who actually understands stocks!
Is there a way to contact you? Twitter doesn't seem to let me message you.
