It was an exciting time Wednesday morning as McDowell Titans quarterback and shortstop Danny Brown signed with Christian Community College (GA) to play both football and baseball next school year.

McDowell Sports Journal will have an interview with Brown later today on the website. Brown is the second McDowell football player to sign, joining Rhyne Nichols. @McDTitansF

McDowell wrestling heavyweight Edward Cervantes claims the 7A West Regional Championship earlier this afternoon at A.L. Brown High School.

We will have more on Eddie’s weekend at regionals and more later today.

The NCHSAA State Wrestling Championships begin Thursday in Greensboro.
