A charming self-published book about Great Bardfield, the Essex village that became home to several artists including Ravilious
Two Women in A Garden, Eric Ravilious, 1932. Painted at Brick House, Great Bardfield in #Essex, it depicts Tirzah Garwood, Eric’s wife, and Charlotte Bawden, who was married to artist Edward Bawden. The original artwork is in the collection of @FryArtGallery.
I never seem to post David Gentleman’s work and yet just look at this , it’s a wonderful piece. He was born in 1930 so he’s 92. He studied under Edward Bawden and John Nash at the Royal College of Art. I don’t know where this beauty is situated but it’s one of four Lithographs

Intrigued by this charming postcard by @EdwardBawden which was obtainable from Lanchester Marionette Theatre, Malvern. Was it @lauraknightart and War Artist link that brought him to #Malvern, or something else - anyone know more?
