A drone captured something quietly extraordinary in Arctic waters:
a polar bear and several beluga whales swimming side by side for a short while.
One beluga even turned back once, as if curious about the white, chubby wanderer beside it.
They belong to the same far north, yet rarely meet like this. Belugas usually keep to deeper coastal waters and travel in pods, while polar bears roam the sea ice above them.
But now and then, nature allows a small and beautiful crossing of paths.
For over a decade, Cristiano Ronaldo’s best-ever goalscoring season (69 goals) and Lionel Messi’s second-best (69 goals) looked untouchable.
Harry Kane has now surpassed them.
70 goals in a single season.
Think about that. Generations of elite strikers couldn’t break those numbers. Kane just did.
If the Ballon d’Or is about rewarding the best individual season, then Harry Kane has given everyone a compelling reason to vote for him. 🏆🏴
Next club odds shortening heavily in Spurs favour for game changing trio.
Sandro Tonali
The market has fully braced for a resolution after the contract details leaked. The heavy volume of backing has forced bookies to pull the odds back down to near-lock status, despite Newcastle's initial posture on the £100m valuation. Tottenham: 1/6
Mateus Fernandes
Spurs remain the clear frontrunners to hijack Manchester United here. The market is pricing this with high confidence following reports of the player’s clear stance on moving to North London to anchor the progressive side of De Zerbi's pivot. Tottenham: 4/6
Savinho
This is effectively viewed as a done deal by trading floors. With Manchester City fully prepared to structuralize a permanent £60m sale to fund their own incoming window targets, the bookies have largely killed the price. Tottenham: 1/5
The books are heavily signaling that a massive £220m+ treble swoop is close to being completely wrapped up.

Spurs need a striker - but maybe not as badly as the discourse suggests.
We have a poacher and a connector. The only player who truly does both? Harry Kane. That profile is rare.
So what does a De Zerbi striker look like and who fits? 🧵
Spurs have now verbally agreed a fee with West Ham for Fernandes. Credit to @szyexcl who was first on this one.
Talks with Newcastle over Sandro Tonali are edging forward and I’m told an agreement could be reached within the next 24–48 hours.
As reported five days ago exploratory discussions with Paz, Como and Real Madrid have taken place, Madrid prepared to activate their buy-back clause before making the player available for around £60m with Como likely to have a first refusal. Spurs are very interested here.
Spurs keep building 🚀
Why are we worrying about not having a "passing first" midfielder.
Senesi and Van Hecke at the back will take care of the 90% of the progression.
Especially if we play in a back 3, the midfielders need to have a lot of legs to cover ground.
Tonali combines technical qualities and physical attributes, and he will not have all the responsibilities we think in the build-up.
Sick of hearing Aston Villa, Newcastle United fans moan about the rules of PSR & FFP.
Sick of the moaning about having to sell your best players, like Spurs didn’t sell: Kane, Berbatov, Modric, Bale, Eriksen, Walker.
It’s food chain it’s football, one club turns over £200m the other £600m + the rules and playing field are based on that, Spurs had a 30k stadium and poor training facilities the work and investment came at a cost of success on the pitch, Tottenham fans understand sacrifice very well!
🚨 Tottenham Hotspur want Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United. Positive talks between #THFC & 26yo; no contact yet with #NUFC. Transfer fee bigger challenge than player deal. De Zerbi driving pursuit, backed by ownership @TheAthleticFC post @FabrizioRomano https://t.co/6BYQwDPHfU
@enyacollins@Kish_P14 Can't it be that the CB's will be the DLP's thatthe team needs? We're practically buying the (by far) two best ball-playing CB's in the league! so won't it be smart to then compliment that with elite ball progressors in midfield?
Spurs have a midfield creativity problem — and the data makes it embarrassing.
We have no central hub. No volume. No progression.
Here's what De Zerbi needs, and 3 names that could actually fix it 🧵

Saw Christian Eriksen have a medical issue today during the Denmark-Ukraine game. Good chance what happened today was his defibrillator (ICD) shocking him which is why his initial reaction is like being hit by a baseball bat to the chest. Remains to be seen whether he was shocked because his ICD detected a real arrhythmia or whether it was an artifact (uncommon but can happen). He will undergo a full evaluation but most immediately his ICD will be interrogated (which can be done immediately) to determine what exactly happened re: his heart rhythm. He will then undergo a full battery of tests. Too soon to speculate what this means for his career.
Of course, plenty can change between now and the start of the season. Players can force their way into contention through strong pre-season performances, which may ultimately influence their place in the squad for the forthcoming campaign.
However, with no European football this season, the maximum number of matches available is considerably lower with 38 Premier League games, up to 7 Carabao Cup fixtures, and a maximum of 6 FA Cup matches. With that in mind, I feel many of our most promising young players would be better served playing 30+ senior games elsewhere on loan rather than remaining on the fringes of the first-team squad with little to no action. Regular competitive football is often the most effective environment for development at this stage of their careers.
Roberto has spoken openly about his desire to have two high-quality options for every position, and the move for Robertson is a significant step towards achieving that at left-back.
The anticipated arrival of Senesi would be another major step forward at left centre-back, while the potential signing of Van Hecke would further strengthen the defensive unit. Should that deal materialise, it could pave the way for Luka to head out on loan again, or potentially see Danso move on despite Roberto’s recent comments suggesting otherwise.
The addition of a deep-lying playmaker with an exceptional passing range would add a completely different dimension to the midfield. The same can be said for the pursuit of a creative midfielder, and some of the names I’ve heard being discussed are genuinely exciting.
The final piece of the puzzle is another striker capable of pushing Solanke for a starting spot. In my view, that may prove to be one of the most difficult recruitment challenges of the summer.
Lastly an experienced homegrown keeper is firmly on the list and likely to be agreed prior the season starting.
Keep & build around
