On demand side, how many guests will cancel reservations, and re-shop the market for discounted properties competing for last minute "new" business?

I'd be happy to join a working group to find a more balanced approach to taking care of the ecosystem during situations like this

@Airbnb my concern with the extenuating circumstances policy.

By allowing guests to cancel and receive a refund, and not compensating hosts for the booked time, you're exposing a weakness in the business plan.

One option, snag some insurance to cover gap in payments to hosts for cancelled bookings during these extenuating circumstances.

Govmt. agencies r making plans to compensate people for lost income through mechanisms like TDI. Current practice will likely leave your hosts out.
