none of my friends want to go to a national park via amtrak to look at foliage and eat at small town diners with me. it’s like. ok just tell me you want me dead it would be kinder
A fun fact about us here at Washington State Ferries is that we've got ferries on the brain 24/7... even when we're on vacation. A colleague sent this photo of a @MBTA ferry this morning. Besides us, what's your favorite ferry system? 😏
Clarifications: 1-This intersection needs to accommodate tractor trailers for the I90 onramp, so no fixed objects can go in that corner, 2-It's concrete, not paint, 3-This was privately funded by a development, not taxpayer money. 4-There is also signal separation for peds/bikes.
Watching this intersection has confirmed to me that flush mountable corner aprons are worthless. Didn't see a single car going around it, most seemed to think they should cut to the inside of it.
@marc_ebuna Yep, I'm assuming a WB-67 would need all that space to make the turn here and this was the unfortunate compromise. Perhaps mountable curbing with an elevation change would've been more effective here if the full height curb has to be that far back.
@CycleJargon@PetruSofio Powder House @ Alewife Brook Parkway, worth a field trip for probably the narrowest public road I've seen approved in the Boston area
