So what was the motive?

Ann Widdecombe wasn’t a random pensioner. She was a former government minister, a fierce and unapologetic voice in Reform UK, and their Immigration and Justice Spokesperson.

She spent years speaking out against mass immigration, gender ideology, and the erosion of British identity.
Now she’s dead in her own home and police are already telling the media there’s “no information” to suggest a political motive.

When a high-profile conservative figure is murdered and nothing is taken, every possibility including political must be properly investigated.

Home Office analysis found 76% of migrants granted permission to remain in the UK on Article 8 (right to family life) grounds last year were unemployed.

The government also revealed the average cost of an asylum seeker is £18,700, meaning the 11,885 migrants who arrived by small boats in the first six months of 2026 are estimated to cost taxpayers around £222 million in asylum-related expenses.

The analysis found 83% of Article 8 applications were approved, while 54% of those initially rejected later won their appeals.

This is extraordinary.
A dangerous blood libel was pushed on the BBC by a UN official who said 14,000 babies would die in Gaza in 48 hours ‘if we don’t get to them’.
An apology was given.
But the BBC kept the blood libel up and it was repeated across the world.
ABC - Australia’s version of the BBC - still decided to repeat the story, three hours after Fletcher had admitted it was wrong.
This was despite Australia’s security services saying a few weeks earlier that antisemitism was becoming dangerous and people should avoid ‘inflamed language around the Middle East’.
Soon after came the Bondi Beach massacre.
It is depressing to me as a journalist that journalists are knowingly and dangerously spreading antisemitism purely because it is clickbait.
It is so dangerous. As is the baiting rhetoric coming from our politicians.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they will not be releasing further descriptions of any potential suspects in the Ann Widdecombe case, so as to not prematurely compromise "ongoing enquiries".

Strange how when they thought it was a “White Male”, no problem with releasing it!

Ann was the proud Justice and Immigration spokesperson for Reform UK.
Unlike the Tories, Nigel Farage would have put Ann in the House of Lords.

Speaking in Parliament, Conservative MP Nick Timothy referred to census data showing that 72% of Somalis in the UK live in social housing, compared with 16% of the wider population.

Timothy has called on the Labour government to publish more detailed data on benefits claims by nationality.

Conservative MP Chris Philp has also raised the same figure in Parliament, arguing that high levels of immigration are placing major pressure on Britain’s housing supply.

Philp has pointed to figures showing that around 11 million foreign-born people live in the UK, 48% of social housing in London has a head of household born outside the UK and migration has absorbed around half of new housing supply over the last decade.

The next day we are told there is a new suspect.

Police have announced they have footage of the individual.

Police refuse to give any description of the suspect or any motives.
