@TranquilityFire Perhaps rather shallowly I definitely enjoyed "scenes" in my youth. Most disastrously, I even contemplated becoming a crusty but I went to a Levellers gig and thought "I just fucking love shampoo and conditioner too much".

@TranquilityFire @RealSimonBray For me Aerosmith are the definition of a great minor band - they're never going to write something as monumental or original as Gimme Shelter or Kashmir or Child In Time but they do what they do very well. I would take Toys in the Attic over Rocks.

@pieceofmind03 Like them both but, after Stained Class, POE is my favourite Priest album so wins easily. Some object to the fact PoE is more of a hard rock than a metal album, but to me that'sits strength. I also think Desert Plains is the single best thing they ever did.

@TranquilityFire @LovecraftLuci I think Paul had edge and volatility that Bruce does not so the menace is a bit more real. But nothing on Killers touches, say, Hallowed Be Thy Name, and only Bruce could make that song what it is.

@TranquilityFire @KISSopolis Long before Morrissey sported Britain First badges I always thought it spoke volumes about him that Johnny Marr (aged 23) felt compelled to end the Smiths when their last 3 albums had all gone to No#1 and they were critical darlings on both sides of the Atlantic.
