They released an official statement demanding answers after the FMF decided to permanently eliminate promotion and relegation, despite promising it would return after the 2025-26 season.

According to the players, the decision has:

• Reduced salaries and investment in lower divisions.
• Hurt clubs, cities and fans.
• Taken away opportunities for future generations.
• Turned football into a business instead of a merit-based competition.

They also called on Liga MX players to support the movement, reminding them that many of them came through clubs that once dreamed of earning promotion.
