Tuchel criticism didn’t start after the game. It started as soon as he decided to defend, and that’s the difference.
Almost every single person on planet earth saw the goal coming except for him maybe. Hasn’t he seen Argentina’s games in the knockouts? What was he thinking?

What’s worse is that he didn’t even counter attack. Argentina had two of their CBs on yellow card, imagine the damage he could’ve done with this situation and 1-0 up. But no he parked the spaceship while he has a bench that could kill on counters. I mean England had 12% possession between Gordon and Lautaro’s goals, that’s a crime.

Both teams didn’t offer anything in the first half, was MMA rather than football. Had Argentina looked scary before 1-0 and then he decided to defend after scoring, people would understand.

English fans are sick of the same talk after each heartbreak or loss in a major tournament so their anger is understandable.

We are a better team than Argentina, I’ve no doubt in my mind. But we deserved to get beat in the end. In fact, it could have been 4-1.
Bringing on 3 defenders at 1-0 up. What message does that send? I wrote it in my Daily Mail column after the Mexico game.
