@__IrufcI__@CraigTunstill What bothers me most is our physical fitness. Or is it just me, or do only our footballers seem to be running around with weights? Theyβre all slow and passive when it comes to pressing. Compared to us, Exeter looked like a Premier League side in terms of pace.
532 that devolves into a 541. Mullin is isolated striker. We play hoof-ball: long balls to Mullin to win headers and flick it on. GK and CBs just pump it to the flanks.
And whoβs forced to chase it down out wide? Mullin, of course... leaving absolutely no one in the box. #rufc
@joewoodger For a while, yes. Especially in the second half. It doesnβt change the fact that, with four players in defence, the style remained the same, and Mullin was useless (through no fault of his own).
@MG117_ Agree. With Jellis out of the midfield, with all due respect, thereβs no tactical intelligence in midfield. No one can move the ball either
Tavaresβ injury is a tragedy. Thereβs no mobile forward in attack.
I still remember the moment in the first half when Mullin was in the centre of the pitch, closer to the left flank, and, just like Leo Messi, played a long diagonal pass to the far corner of the penalty area..
@smith98_josh Thinking about the same. Such an obsession with this formation, even when u dont have players for that. Only Steve didnt use that garbage
