نبذة عن بعض مجازر ارتكبها آل سعود بدعم بريطاني لتأسيس كيانهم عدو البشرية في المنطقة الذي يبغض المسلمين.

مجزرة تربة (1337 هـ / 1919 م)
الموقع: مدينة تربة (بوابة الحجاز).النبذة: هجوم مباغت وشامل شنه جيش "الإخوان" (قوات ابن سعود) في جوف الليل على معسكر جيش الشريف عبد الله بن الحسين.
الضحايا: وصفت بأنها إبادة شبه كاملة لجيش الشريف؛ حيث قُتل بالسيوف والخناجر ما يقارب 5000 شخص، ولم ينجُ من المعسكر إلا عدد ضئيل جداً. كما استُبيحت المدينة وقُتل عدد من أهاليها.

مجزرة تنومة (1341 هـ / 1923 م)
الموقع: وادي تنومة (منطقة عسير).
النبذة: اعتراض قوات الإخوان لوفد الحجاج اليمنيين العزل. تم تطويق الحجاج في الوادي وإطلاق النار عليهم ثم الإجهاز عليهم بالسلاح الأبيض وهم بملابس الإحرام.
الضحايا: استشهاد نحو 3000 حاج يمني. تُعد هذه الواقعة من أبشع الجرائم لكون الضحايا حجاجاً لا يحملون سلاحاً.

مجزرة الطائف (1343 هـ / 1924 م)
الموقع: مدينة الطائف.
النبذة: بعد دخول جيش الإخوان للطائف، ارتكبوا فظائع بحق المدنيين الذين احتموا ببيوتهم ومساجد محددة. قُتل العلماء والقضاة والأطفال، ونُهبت البيوت بالكامل.
الضحايا: قُدر عدد القتلى المدنيين بـ 400 إلى 1200 شخص، بينهم مفتي الشافعية الشيخ الزواوي الذي قُتل داخل من��له.

حصار جدة والمدينة (1924 م - 1925 م)
الموقع: مدن الحجاز.
النبذة: فرض جيش ابن سعود حصاراً خانقاً استمر لأكثر من عام.
الضحايا: رغم عدم وقوع مجزرة مباشرة في مك��، إلا أن الحصار في جدة والمدينة تسبب في وفاة المئات (وربما الآلاف) بسبب الجوع الشديد وتفشي الأوبئة قبل أن تضطر المدن لتسليم نفسها لتجنب الإبادة.

واقعة المحمل المصري (1344 هـ / 1926 م)
الموقع: منى (مكة المكرمة).
النبذة: بعد سيطرة ابن سعود على مكة، اعترضت قوات الإخوان موكب "المحمل المصري" بسبب الموسيقى، وتطور الأمر لاشتباك مسلح.
الضحايا: سقط نحو 40 قتيلاً وجريحاً من الحجاج المصريين والمرافقين للمحمل برصاص القوات السعودية.

معركة السبلة وتصفية الإخوان (1347 هـ / 1929 م)
الموقع: روضة السبلة (نجد).
النبذة: انقلب الملك عبد العزيز على حلفائه السابقين (جيش الإخوان) بعدما أصبحو�� يشكلون خطراً على ملكه. استخدم ضدهم الطائرات والأسلحة الرشاشة الحديثة (التي وفرتها بريطانيا).
الضحايا: قُتل المئات من مقاتلي الإخوان وقادتهم (مثل فيصل الدويش وسلطان بن بجاد)، وتمت ملاحقتهم وتصفية جيوبهم في الصحراء، مما أنهى قوتهم تماماً.

قمع تمرد الأدارسة في عسير (1932 م)
الموقع: منطقة عسير وجيزان.
النبذة: عند محاولة الأدارسة استعادة استقلالهم عن ابن سعود، أرسل حملة عسكرية ضخمة قمعت التمرد بقسوة.
الضحايا: وقعت إعدامات ميدانية للثوار، ونُكل بالقبائل التي ساندت الأدارسة، وسقط المئات من القتلى والجرحى لضمان خضوع المنطقة بالكامل قبل إعلان قيام المملكة في نفس العام.

اعتمد الوصول إلى العرش السعودي في القرن العشرين على مزيج من "العنف المفرط" تجاه الخصوم (سواء كانوا سنة أو شيعة أو حلفاء سابقين)، واستخدام الفتاوى الدينية لاستباحة ال��ماء تحت مسمى "قتال المشركين" أو "الخارجين عن طاعة ولي الأمر".

OUR LAWS AND DEMOCRACY MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL TIMES

The Nigerian Bar Association has closely monitored recent political and legal developments as the nation gradually approaches the 2027 General Elections. These developments, particularly those arising from the interpretation and potential application of provisions of the Electoral Act 2026, raise serious constitutional, democratic, and rule-of-law concerns that require immediate intervention.

We particularly deprecate the disturbing involvement by lawyers and courts in the internal affairs of political parties despite the clear provisions of the Electoral Act, 2026, which stipulates in Section 83 of the Act that “No court in Nigeria shall entertain jurisdiction over any suit or matter pertaining to the internal affairs of a political party.��

Not only are courts denied jurisdiction to entertain any matter pertaining to the internal affairs of a political party, but they are also precluded from granting any interim or interlocutory injunction even where any action has been brought in violation of the Act. The section further provides that “Where such an action is brought in negation of this provision, no interim or interlocutory injunction shall be entertained by the Court, but the Court shall suspend its ruling and deliver it at the stage of final judgment and shall give accelerated hearing to the matter”.

What we now see are situations where actions are not only instituted in Courts by lawyers in clear violation of the Act, but Courts purportedly grant interim and/or interlocutory injunctions in clear contempt of statutory provisions of the law. This does not augur well for our democracy. Democracy will not thrive in a situation where lawyers and courts take actions and decisions that not only negate our laws but also do violence to them. This emerging trend of subverting the clear letters of the Electoral Act and dragging courts into the internal affairs of political parties through disingenuous litigation, forum shopping, and malafide applications designed to secure undemocratic political advantage, bodes no good for our democracy. Such practices, if not immediately curbed, would directly contradict the clear intendment of the Electoral Act and risk transforming the judicial processes into avenues for political score-settling or electoral manipulation.

We must reiterate that these provisions were clearly designed to curb abuse of court processes and discourage forum shopping in political disputes. This is therefore why the NBA is concerned that the abuse, misapplication, or selective deployment of these provisions may create opportunities for manipulation capable of undermining democratic competition and shrinking the political space.

Members of the Bar are reminded that they are Ministers in the Temple of Justice and not political agents seeking judicial endorsement of partisan objectives. The filing of actions intended to draw courts into internal political party disputes, particularly where jurisdiction is expressly excluded, constitutes an abuse of court process and a violation of professional responsibility.

The NBA will take firm steps to deter such conduct. Lawyers who deliberately file actions aimed at procuring judicial interference in intra-party affairs, or who seek ex parte or interlocutory orders in clear violation of statutory provisions, risk facing disciplinary proceedings. We will not hesitate to present petitions before the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) against any Legal Practitioner found to be engaging in such conduct. This will be pursued decisively to serve as a deterrent and to preserve the sanctity of the judicial process.

The Nigerian judiciary must stay vigilant and resist being drawn into political theatrics. Courts should firmly decline invitations, no matter how artfully crafted, to intervene in matters the law explicitly bars them from.

I condemn today’s military escalation in the Middle East. The use of force by the United States & Israel against Iran, and the subsequent retaliation by Iran across the region, undermine international peace & security.

All Member States must respect their obligations under international law, including the Charter of the @UN. The Charter clearly prohibits “the threat of the use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.”

I call for an immediate cessation of hostilities & de-escalation. Failing to do so risks a wider regional conflict with grave consequences for civilians & regional stability. I strongly encourage all parties to return immediately to the negotiating table.

We never even start, you don de write this kind long epistle. You for wait small now. But on a serious note, your perspective on the issue of zoning is not correct.

You may be aware (or not) that at the beginning of the controversy over who should be Senate President after the 2015 presidential election, the initial decision by the party leadership was to zone the number three position to the North Central. However, when it looked like Dr. Saraki was going to emerge, the ACN bloc, led by Baba Akande and Asiwaju BAT (now President), argued that zoning was a PDP thing and was alien to progressive politics, which they claimed to represent. It was on that basis that they backed Ahmed Lawan from Yobe (North East).

That would not be a baseless argument, considering that the presidential primaries that produced PMB appeared to have been thrown open, irrespective of zoning. This was why Rochas Okorocha (4th, 264 votes) was able to contest alongside Buhari, Kwankwaso, @Atiku, and Sam Nda-Isaiah. This pattern was repeated in 2023, when the primary election was contested by Ahmad Lawan (NE), Ahmed Sani (NW), Yahaya Bello (NC), alongside southern candidates. And, like 2019, APC simply zoned to the incumbent in 2027, and not to any region.

Now, talking about zoning as a mechanism for strengthening national unity, you would agree with me (hopefully) that this also includes religious balancing, which has proved to be even more fundamental to our national cohesion than geographical considerations. Yet, APC put a knife to this fragile rope of national unity when it settled for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

In doing that, APC showed that they had no time for balancing religious sensibilities as long as, in their calculations, it was a same-faith ticket that would deliver victory. And if they change it or keep it in 2027, it would not be because they suddenly suffered a pang of conscience, it would be a matter of political strategy.

Now, to ADC, which I noticed you have suddenly become preoccupied with in the last 48 hours or so, even worrying on our behalf about how we could get our presidential ticket wrong. Which is quite curious though, because shouldn’t you actually be happy that we were about to make a mistake?

I will make this clear: what we are putting together is a winning coalition. Therefore, for us, nothing is settled yet. But I can assure you that when we do decide, it will be based on a clear strategy to win the election. I must also add, however, as a matter of principle, there are lines the ADC will not cross in order to keep the country together. After all, we have seen where APC’s win-at-all-cost approach has led our country.

Finally, what you said about the ADC being organised around an individual’s ambition is not true. And every ADC member knows this. If anything, it is just a weak attempt at gaslighting the @PeterObi camp. But with what happened in Enugu on New Year’s Eve, don’t you think that your stratagem has not worked?

But again, many people make it seem like the insecurity is affecting just one demographic, ethnicity, and using the actions of a condemnable few to justify outright hate. Criminals have been using religion to commit unspeakable crimes throughout history, and yet we continue play this same blame game rather than holding the culprits.

What makes a Nigerian more Nigerian than another? The goal is to wipe out terroists who are affecting the lives of everyone within and outside the country, not tear ourselves apart by encouraging agendas that has no end and yields zero positive results.
