I think the thing we are missing regarding Caleb Williams reaction to the injury yesterday is his love for winning, the city, and football.

A Grade 1 hamstring can cause sharp pain early on. Caleb didn’t know the severity, so the thought of the season going out the window and letting the city and team down probably weighed heavily on him in that moment. The offense dropped 59 in Week 1, and the Bears likely win yesterday if Caleb doesn’t go down, too. So all of those emotions factored into his genuine and authentic reaction. This could and still might be a special season.

But anyone calling him soft or saying his reaction was over the top is absurd. I can’t believe it’s even a topic.
