World map for Thither Ruins of the Dimlit Downlands. This sorry, unmanifesting, pocket realm has been reduced to a little octahedron with 6 sorry Boroughs. The non-euclidean shape will surely confuse your Players as they attempt to map it.
Went ahead and published a Foul Papers edition of Thither Ruins of the Dimlit Downlands FOR FREE. Trying to build some momentum. Please check it out, tell me what you think. Play it even! Now off to more editing and playtesting... #OSR#NSR

@vault_crawler love the analog and digital mix. i really like that digital(?) noise that is vaguely being used as a shadow at the bottom? are digital fake registration errors a bit cliche at this point? if not then maybe add a lil of that?
@qarsiseer@ForestedDepth definitely setting heavy, the mechanics imply a duality all over. between challenges and rewards. monsters and humans. teachers and students. strong mythic feel all around. i think it would work well in a very vanilla setting, letting these simple rules bend reality
@fakehistoryhunt Hops doesn't trunk like that. Looks like a grape vine. I think the angle is to maximize collecting sunlight. Also explains the height (above the shade from buildings).

@ericacbarnett @maccoinnich this building also marketed as apartments ($1.13m, 3 units). SF in this hood, on a small lot, tops out around $750k. these cost more to build/permit/condo-ize, but they do make more $ for developers. incentives working.
@maccoinnich Interesting side effect: this particular building was built in a back yard of an existing SF home. There are now 4 units (the building is actually a 3 plex) instead of 1, and all of them are lower cost to new buyers than the original house + original lot.
@maccoinnich its a biz model failure. the press release isn't going to say, "hey we decided to try to a new idea of smaller stores in city cores, and it failed". its going to blame something out of their control/decision process. all about throwing flak at the investors.
@AaronMesh@sophiegreenleaf It's a leap to blame lack of city for lack of watering. Could be fault of nursery, could be fault of installation contractor, could be bad first year of watering. Planting Japanese maples at all is a red flag, not a climate adapted or drought tolerant plant.
