@Arrrghonaut@woofknight it is refused i used to work at starbucks and we can’t give more than maybe 6 shots the baristas themselves can make drinks for themselves with whatever they want but we couldnt give a 8 shots drink to a customer let alone a 20 shot drink
@justvluck@HollyMich3lle@salvbv@Y40IFRQTTING yeah i think that it’s a little outdated to say only focus on connection just cuz of this confusion. what we should say is that they are attracted to every gender equally.
@_ITheRain@Y40IFRQTTING pansexuality is under the bi flag, the bisexuals who have no gender preference are pansexual, many just choose to only claim the bi label, and a lot more now because of panphobia and stigma against pansexuals.
(just cuz it’s under bi flag doesn’t mean it’s not its own thing)
@_ITheRain@Y40IFRQTTING yea im not saying that we dont care about looks at all, in fact thats a weird claim to make. pansexuals just find all genders attractive, they still have preferences in terms of appearances personality and probably sexual compatibility.
@pulpy_fiction@_ITheRain@Y40IFRQTTING pansexuality was coined in the 1970s by the bisexuals who felt that being simply called bisexual wasn’t aligning with what their sexuality was, which is yes under the bi spectrum. it’s its own thing because while all pans are bi, not all bis are pan
@BeebleMcSkronk@Thatlunarrr@Y40IFRQTTING being pansexual as an identity has existed since the 70s and pansexuality has been involved in the bi movement any times. bisexual never meant attraction regardless of gender, though that specific definition is under the bi spectrum and is literally being pansexual.
@pulpy_fiction@_ITheRain@Y40IFRQTTING it just means that while you might not only date certain genders (say agendered and women or men and women or women and demi) and might date all genders, but if you don’t fall under the pan flag then it’s likely that you would have a bias towards a gender say thinking women
@ayu_garza@redsuxsox@Y40IFRQTTING all pansexuals are bisexual yeah, but not all bisexuals are pansexual which is why they are different have their own identity and term and flag and community
@twinkhumper@septem36960@Y40IFRQTTING are you pansexual or know anyone who is? how can you say how pansexuals feel when already saying you can’t understand how pansexualality works.
@Y40IFRQTTING@SuicideDewitt@HollyMich3lle@salvbv what do you think “not at the same time or to the same degree” means because to me that means they might not like a gender or they might like some genders more which is by definition having a preference
@ziyaloveshockey@Desabr1na@Y40IFRQTTING it’s a term under the bi flag, it’s not redundant it’s just a specific side under the bi spectrum, all pansexuals are bisexual. they have a different term and identity because not all bisexuals are pansexual. pansexuality as an identity has existed since the 70s
@redlillais@deftill@HollyMich3lle@salvbv@Y40IFRQTTING pansexuality as a identity has existed since the 70s 🤷i’m sorry that you believe the bi movement doesn’t include pansexuals it’s clear that you are one of the people still seeing things in black and white
@twinkhumper@septem36960@Y40IFRQTTING you don’t have to understand what it’s like to be pansexual when ur not pansexual. just because you don’t see how it could work doesn’t mean that’s not how it is, ykwim?
@Mania_Manji@Y40IFRQTTING that’s abt the textbook definition. pansexuality is under the bi umbrella, so there are bisexuals who align pansexuality but choose the bi label, just so your aware of that
@carokoneko@salvbv@Y40IFRQTTING yeah i’ve said this already a few times. i don’t know how to tell people that not all bi people being pansexual is why there is a whole distinct identity to pansexuality since beating it in their heads isn’t working. its two different things but the same family
@slzy10@ziyaloveshockey@Desabr1na@Y40IFRQTTING i have said in many replies (though i don’t expect you to read them all) that it is a sub identity to bisexuality, all pansexuals are also bisexual, however not all bisexuals are pansexual, which is there is a distinction between them.
