A family of four—including two babies just 2 and 3 years old—was wiped out after pulling onto the shoulder of I-75 because of car trouble.

According to prosecutors, THIS IS THE MAN 27-year-old Charles Dean Pace was allegedly driving a Ford F-250 at more than 90 mph while intoxicated when he slammed into their disabled vehicle on July 1 in Oakland County, Michigan.

The victims were identified as:

Their family says they had simply pulled over to deal with a vehicle problem when tragedy struck.

A short while ago, the water station we partnered with for our water project was directly struck, resulting in the deaths of several people and injuries to others working there.

As a result, we have been forced to suspend our water distribution project until further notice.

This station was one of the most important remaining sources of clean water in Gaza City and served as a lifeline for thousands of families, especially after most other water stations had stopped operating.

People are entitled to write a book, and others are entitled to read it.

But let us not rewrite the legal facts.

Lucy Connolly was not jailed simply for being upset, nor simply for using free speech. She pleaded guilty to inciting racial hatred under the Public Order Act.

The court accepted mitigation, including her personal tragedy, her lack of previous convictions and the fact that the post was later deleted. But the post had already been viewed hundreds of thousands of times during a highly volatile period.

Nor was the court looking at one sentence in complete isolation. Other posts were presented to the sentencing judge, and the Court of Appeal noted that they provided a broader context for her views.

By all means, debate sentence length, prison reform, free speech and consistency in justice. Those are legitimate debates.

But the debate should start with the facts, not a sanitised rebrand of what happened.
