The story of The Frog Prince tells of a young prince cursed to live as a frog. Neglected for his appearance, he dwells by a shadowy pond until a compassionate princess encounters him and transforms him back into a prince with a true love’s kiss.👑 Oil on canvas , 15x15 cm.

One of my favourite projects this year was illustrating the cover and chapter illustrations for Camilla Andrew’s @inkwellofnectar superb fantasy novel ‘When the Stars Alight’. I hope next year will bring many more exciting projects and lots of new art.

For a final touch to an oil painting, I like to use Lasur White paint by Mussini. It’s a very transparent bluish white, that gives a wonderful misty glow. I like to apply the Lasur White paint with a soft brush, and then blend it with an even softer brush.
