Yesterday evening Oriel played in the final #UniversityChallenge play-off of the series against @BristolUni, scoring 150 points v Bristol’s 185.
Although the score was not enough to make it through to the next round, we congratulate the team for their determination & resilience!
Engineering DPhil Tanmayee Deshprabhu captains the
@OrielOxford team on University Challenge, finishing with a great score of 130. https://t.co/37621vfSrU
We are very proud of the Oriel team's performance on #UniversityChallenge🌐last night.
The team avoided elimination and are currently the third-highest scoring losing team, so we hope they will go on to progress further!
@rchldionysus@OrielOxford The red panda is the favourite animal of our good friend and all-round fantastic human Theo, who was originally a member of the team, but unfortunately had to pull out! So this way, he was sort of still there with us 🙂
Hope you guys enjoyed the rugby yesterday but this is back on TONIGHT at 7:30pm on BBC2 😀 Watch me discover that you do not in fact have to go up a ladder to sit on the top row of #UniversityChallenge@OrielOxford !!
On Tuesday 25 October a talented team of Oriel students will appear on @UniversityChal1@BBCTwo
The team consists of Team captain Tanmayee Deshbrabhu, Jerric Chong, Katy Marchant, Thomas Ford, Benjamin Thomson, and Theo- the team mascot!
