DAY 1 OF YMC — WHAT A START!
Day 1 of YMC was nothing short of powerful!
From the moment the sound of worship filled the atmosphere, hearts were drawn closer to God as Minister Sunmisola Agbebi led us into a beautiful and heartfelt ministration.
It was more than music.
It was a moment to worship, surrender, and encounter God.
And then came the Word from Bishop David Abioye—a timely charge that challenged us to look beyond where we are and become intentional about what God has placed within us.

Ministry is not the place to carry the problems of people and lose your own faith.
Sometimes, the way people speak about their situations can be so heavy that it can challenge the faith of the person praying for them.
When people come into church broken, discouraged, confused, and overwhelmed, they should encounter someone who looks like the answer is possible.
Jesus demonstrated this.
Even when people were mourning and telling Him that Lazarus had died, Jesus continued to give them hope. He declared Himself as the resurrection and the life.
Don’t let the condition of the people drain the fire God put inside you.
Smile.
Give hope.
Speak faith.
Stand on the Word.
Point people back to God.
Because ministry is not merely about making people laugh, jump, or feel good for a moment.
People should return home knowing what to do.
They should leave with hope.
They should leave with direction.
They should leave with faith.
They should leave believing that God can still turn their situation around.
That’s ministry.

Faith is not only what you say.

Faith is demonstrated by what you do.
You cannot continually behave like the problem you are believing God to solve.
Jesus encountered a woman who had been bent over for 18 years and declared, “Woman, you are loosed.” She responded to the Word and stood up.
He saw another man with a withered hand and told him to stretch out his hand. His action became a demonstration of his faith, and the hand was stretched.
Your action matters.
Sometimes, the enemy wants you to remain frozen by fear, pain, limitations, or past experiences. But faith says, “If Jesus has spoken it, I will act on it.”
Nothing scares the devil like a believer who begins to act on God's Word.
If you believe you are healed—behave it.
If you believe you are free—behave it.
If you believe you are victorious—behave it.
If you believe God has made a way—walk in it.
Don't allow your present condition to dictate your behavior when God's Word has already given you a new reality.
Stop behaving like defeat.
Stop behaving like fear.
Stop behaving like bondage.
Stop behaving like the sickness has the final word.
Rise.
Stretch your hand.
Take the step.
Do what you could not do before.
Your faith must become visible. Your actions must agree with your confession. And as you act on God's Word, may your life become a living testimony of His power.
What you believe, behave it. What you behave, you become.

Darkness does not disappear because we complain about it. It disappears when we shine the light.
The answer to darkness around us is not merely to pray against it, but to allow the light of Christ within us to shine. Christ in you is the light, but there must be room for Him to shine through your life.
You cannot shine a light you have refused to carry.
There is a dimension of Christian living that requires us to shake ourselves free from everything that keeps us down and prevents the light of Christ from being seen through us.
Sometimes, what keeps a person in captivity is not the absence of power, but the presence of unrighteousness.
Sin weighs down.
Unrighteousness keeps a person in captivity.
Compromise dims the light.
Shake yourself from the dust.
Shake off unrighteousness.
Shake off the things holding you down.
Lose yourself from every band that has kept you bound.
You cannot escape captivity while deliberately living in unrighteousness. The call to revival is therefore also a call to righteousness, sanctification, and holiness.
God wants to shine through you.

What God has written is powerful, but what you speak gives expression to what is written.
The written Word reveals God’s mind and contains His promises, but speaking that Word is an act of agreement with God. When you declare what God has written, you are choosing to align your words with His will.
The message reminds us that what is written remains settled, whether we believe it or not. But our speaking becomes a personal decision to agree with what God has already said. What is written is potential; what is spoken sets it into motion.
This means we must become intentional about the language we use. Instead of constantly speaking weakness, fear, sickness, failure, or limitation, we should deliberately speak God’s promises over our lives.
Our words matter because our confession gives expression to what we believe. Examine your language and recognize that changing what you continually say can change the way you approach and experience life.
Jesus Himself demonstrated the importance of speaking what is written. The Word was not only written—it was spoken. Therefore, as believers, we must not leave God’s promises sitting silently on the pages of Scripture. Put the Word in your mouth. Declare it. Believe it. Agree with God.
Don’t just read the Word. Speak the Word until your words agree with God’s Word.

What you keep hearing eventually becomes what you believe, and what you believe begins to shape how you live.

Just as we can remain glued to social media, news, television, or a programme because we don’t want to miss what is being said, we must learn to give the Word of God that same—and even greater—attention. The Word must become something we continually listen to, study, meditate upon, and store within our hearts.
The question is not only, Do you have a Bible?” but “How much of the Word have you consumed?”
A Bible that remains closed cannot feed you. A dusty Bible cannot transform your thinking. The Word must move from the pages into your heart until it becomes part of your spiritual reality.
As a minister of God, seek fresh revelation—not merely something to preach, but something to feed on. This is the posture every believer should have: coming to God’s Word not simply for information, but for nourishment, strength, direction, and transformation.
When you continually stock your heart with God’s Word, you build a spiritual reserve for the day you need it. Just as an investment is accumulated over time, the Word is stored within you until the moment comes when your faith needs to draw from what has already been deposited.
Don’t wait until trouble comes before you start looking for the Word.
Feed on it now.
Meditate on it now.
Speak it now.
Listen to it now.
Store it in your heart now.
Let God’s Word become so deeply rooted in you that when challenges arise, your spirit already knows what to answer.
Don’t just hear the Word occasionally. Stay on it until the Word stays in you.
