As one of the few voices in Washington who consistently challenges the military-industrial complex and advocates for the rights of the oppressed, we are writing to you regarding a critical humanitarian crisis that is being overlooked: North and East Syria (Rojava).

The people of this region, who led the global fight against the darkness of ISIS, are now facing the systematic destruction of their civilian infrastructure. Power plants, water stations, and hospitals the very lifeblood of a society, are being targeted, leaving millions in the cold and dark.

Senator, your platform is built on the idea that every human being deserves dignity, healthcare, and a say in their own future. Rojava has been a unique experiment in grassroots democracy, gender equality, and ethnic pluralism in a region otherwise dominated by autocracy.

We urge you to:
1. Break the silence: Use your platform to condemn the targeting of civilian infrastructure in North and East Syria.
2. Advocate for Diplomacy: Pressure the administration to prioritize a political solution that protects the democratic achievements of the local population.
3. Stand Against Militarism: Challenge the policies that prioritize arms sales and regional power plays over the lives of millions of innocent civilians.
You have always said, "Not me, Us." Today, that "Us" includes the people of Rojava who are struggling for survival and self-determination. They don't need more bombs; they need the world's most prominent progressive voice to stand with them.

Stand with Rojava. Stand for Humanity.
