The person seen assaulting the victim is not a Police officer but a city guard whose action prompted the swift intervention of the Police woman in the video.

The Police condemns the undue brutality in the viral video. However, call on the media to be circumspect in its reportage, cross check facts and stop unwarranted attacks on the entire Police Service at the least opportunity.

Following a viral footage of a Police officer, being beaten by a driver and his mate, the two were arraigned before the Weija Circuit Court today March 18, 2019 and have been remanded into Police custody to reappear before the court on 1st April, 2019.
