@cecilliasecho yesssss definitely but that’s why i’m always stressing that media should be criticized in this way but not simple fans engaging with fictional characters how they see natural to them. people have their sexual preferences and they will project them onto characters
it’s honestly kinda funny to witness when people act like they’re more progressive for preferring a dynamic where the bigger more masculine dude bottoms. bonus points if they start talking about heteronormativity.
@cecilliasecho honestly this wasn’t even about iwtv ships but just in general. like why are we pretending that feminine/submissive/small bottoms are heteronormative? they’re notttttt
@LosRodrigosG yes and a lot of times you cannot really tell which is which. i’m fine with anything as long as the person respects the preferences of others
@celestiatears i get what you’re saying. when it comes to fictional characters, you’re mostly engaging w nsfw content thinking with your dick anyway so i don’t think you can logic yourself out of a preferred dynamic
@celestiatears exactlyyy. and tbh a lot of times it just feels like someone has a preference themselves but tries to sell it as something they’re actively choosing because it’s more “correct” or “authentic” or whatever the case
