I did shape bingo as a warm up activity in my maths lesson yesterday. Instead of calling out shapes, I gave the students clues and they had to identify the shape! They loved it and had so much fun identifying the correct shapes #teachstarter#ACUedu_p
My prac class is currently exploring point of view- I wanted to find an engaging short film to help explore multiple perspectives. Found some really great options from Pixar: https://t.co/VUZ3jMtb80

This coming week is a source of stress for many of the students in my practicum class due to NAPLAN. It has been great to see members of the school community supporting these students and reminding them that they are worth so much more than just their exam results #acuedu_p
Yesterday at prac I was introduced to this picture book! I would love to use this story in the classroom to support creativity and imagination, encouraging students to value their ideas and believe in themselves #acuedu_p
@efox_ACU and I created our own virtual classroom during EDFD462 suitable for a stage 1 class. Can't wait to do this with my future classroom

The most significant thing I have discovered in my Transition to the Profession unit is: what the next steps are for me in my journey as an educator! I value the opportunity to learn more about the various pathways and options available to me #acuedu_p
Really appreciated the opportunity to hear from two beginning teachers this morning! Very inspiring to hear not only about the good experiences but also the challenges they've faced and overcome #acuedu_p
Went on an excursion to the Opera House for prac this week! Started by sharing a Social Story w/ the students: explaining the itinerary, expected behaviours & answering their questions about the day! My first time seeing this strategy in action but I would recommend! #ACUedu_p
I always struggle to provide feedback that is insightful and can extend students learning. This link has helpful strategies to provide constructive feedback to students #ACUedu_p https://t.co/CKnC8BwFeP
Trying my best to learn & remember all the names of students in my class. I've found using paddle pop sticks with names written on them to be a really helpful strategy not only to build up my memory but also to promote opportunities for student participation in class! #acuedu_p
