@GridHoopReels If you think Hartenstein is going to take a pay cut to stay with the OKC thunder after they drafted his replacement (in back to back drafts). You have zero knowledge about ball
If you believe Hartenstein is overpaid, then OKC is saving money by letting him walk.
If you believe Hartenstein is too important to lose, then it's actively disrespectful to expect him to take a pay cut.
Hartenstein's value for Thunder fans is so interesting to me. He is TOO IMPORTANT TO LOSE! but also, he is overpaid and should take a pay cut
It just doesn't make sense to me.
@LeLukaShow Kessler Turned down 5 years 140 million. Hartenstein is a proven championship level Starting Center in this league. Lakers are going to at least offer him 30+ million a year to get him. Maybe even more
How can a player possibly continue to play for a coach that doesnβt trust him in the biggest moments? A coach that would look stupid if he plays well. The answer is he simply canβt. Hartenstein needs to switch teams. He needs a coach that believes in him and uses him correctly
OKC disrespected Hartenstein in game one of the Western Conference finals by playing him 12 minutes. It sent the message to him that he is not good enough to guard Wemby. Hartenstein went out there and proved his own team wrong in game 2 and game 5. But the damage is done
After Game 5, a game Hartenstein outplayed Wemby on both sides of the floor, Mark didnβt mention Hartenstein once in the postgame. Why? Because Hartenstein made him look stupid for not trusting Hartenstein in game one.
NBA Champion Isaiah Hartenstein is a FAR more impactful player than Trae Young. His impact on winning basketball games is on another level compared to Young. So if Trae Young is getting 212 MILLION dollars over 4 seasons. Hartenstein should be getting a huge raise too!
Fun Fact, Trae Young has never had a higher net rating than Isaiah Hartenstein's net rating on the Clippers.
Young's highest net rating is +5.3, while Hartenstein's net rating on the Clippers was +7.0.
Hartenstein's highest net rating is +15.7 for the Thunder
Isaiah Hartenstein also still holds the Record (requiring 1000 minutes played) for highest net rating in recorded Knicks history, with a net rating of +10.0
The Thunder have two options with Isaiah Hartenstein. 1- Pick up his team option. 2- let him walk. THAT'S IT! I find the "renegotiation" of his contract SO DEEPLY Disrespectful. Expecting him to devalue himself when he one of the most impactful players in NBA history
