@egreenwichnews@Giarrusso30 The EG Democrats are making a last-minute attempt to convince voters to vote yes on tomorrow’s $5 million school bond. Donegan made a video & Schwager robo-called residents urging a yes vote. First time in recent memory that a bond vote has gotten political.
From 2006-2017 there has been an 8.3 million dollar increase to school funding . The town has supported the schools , the taxpayers just want that money spent wisely .

Due to an unsettled weather forecast , the EG Chamber has decided to postpone tonight's scheduled Music on Main Stroll until Thursday, July 25.
Stroll season continues next week (Thursday 6/27) with the Arts on Main Stroll. Come down and check out artist displays, enjoy some local music or compete in Chalk the Block! The fun starts at 5PM, we hope to see you there!
Thank you for your distinguished service to the students, staff, and families of EG Schools. Best wishes in your retirement. Mr. Coutu, Ms. Foley, & Ms. Bonk
Hey Rep. Cheney, since you’re so eager to “educate me,” I’m curious:
What do YOU call building mass camps of people being detained without a trial?
How would you dress up DHS’s mass separation of thousands children at the border from their parents?
Is your town fiscally afloat or underwater? This chart shows towns' assets and liabilities. Foster,North Kingstown,North Providence,Richmond, and Warwick are not part of this chart because they are *very* late in filing their annual financial disclosures to the state.
What an experience these 8th graders are having in our Nations Capital (Capitol visit today after Model Congress). Thank you to the parents who made it happen for the 2023’s this year. Arlington National Cemetery was an eye opening & humbling visit yesterday. #FieldTripsMatter
Fabricated issue! EG Trips have NEVER been exclusionary. The exact opposite is true. No child has EVER been denied access to ANY trip, ever! Plus, Wagner was clear-his opinion is not LAW & up to SC interpretation. Perfect candidate question for next SC election. We’re sorry, RI.
Great letter from the Barrington teacher’s union expressing concerns over the @bps_ri district and school committee’s handling of the later start time (for teens only) decision making process. @NEARhodeIsland @RIFTFrankFlynn
Feel free to add the @AmerAcadPeds sleep guidelines for elementary Ss to the FAQ and show the math about what bedtimes need to be achieved to ensure K-3 get sufficient sleep. Realism and common sense are tragically absent from this decision.
So @bps_ri just sent out an incredibly self-serving FAQ on the later start times that jams science about teens’ sleep needs in ones face, but fails to make any mention of sleep deficits for K-5 and offers little evidence 7am bus pick for a kindergartner isn’t harmful.
@seantodd@NBC10@CienkiSue @RIRepublicans @CienkiSue has done so much for the EG community with many years of public service as a School Committee Member and Town Councilor. We wish her well in her new role as Chair of the @RhodeIslandGOP and expect Sue to continue her important work on behalf of all RI Taxpayers.
For clarity, @BarbaraAnnRI says that @AllanFungRI-GOP Candidate for RI Gov. & sitting GOP Mayor of Cranston, “offered” to LEAVE the Republican Party because of her feelings & he is only staying because she, “told him not to.” Am I reading this correctly? Asking for a Party?
@JudiZimmer @kathyprojo@egreenwichnews@CienkiSue exposed massive financial problems in EG. Donut you worry Judi, RI Republicans are in very capable hands. 🍩
