Distributions update: Free stove distributions are underway in @Nyamasheke district where 18,446 fuel efficient stoves have been distributed across the district so far.
This brings the total number of distributions this year to 76,227.

We are pleased to have been selected as one of eight project developers to pilot the @cleancooking (CCA) Clean Cooking Code of Conduct, a tool designed to strengthen the credibility of the #cleancooking carbon sector.

Research conducted by @60_decibels for @cleancooking found 89% of people reported a reduction in time spent collecting wood. During rainy seasons, DelAgua stove users can still use twigs and cook for their families without going out to collect fuel.

Households with DelAgua's portable and fuel-efficient stove are still able to cook with small twigs of wood.

Our field teams are currently conducting household visits in Rubavu, Gicumbi, Nyagatare, Huye, Nyamagabe, Nyaruguru, Kamonyi, Karongi & Nyabihu districts.
These visits are key in driving long term behaviour change through education on #CleanCooking. #TubehoNeza
To date, we have distributed 80,142 #CleanCookstoves in #Musanze district, home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas.
The stoves cut firewood demand by 71% so that communities can sustain themselves without fully relying on the forests.
