@Rob_Percival_ We need strong policy responses and systemic change. No point in telling people to choose healthier options when they are surrounded by food environments saturated with UPF, bombarded by UPF marketing, and where good food is often unavailable or unaffordable.

@Rob_Percival_ 100%. Even with growing awareness of UPFs and their threat to health, there is still far too much emphasis on telling people to avoid UPFs, make better choices etc. The whole point is that UPFs are ubiquitous, heavily marketed, and designed to encourage overconsumption.

@conor_pope Highlights a couple of much bigger issues:
1 People are consuming huge amounts of soft drinks (and alcohol). Need a public health campaign on this.
2 Insane amounts of unnecessary plastic waste. Only real solution is reduce. Tap water is mostly safe, why so much bottled drinks?

@Biggyfin Seems to be very few bees around (the wet weather?). A friend who has a lovely diverse wildflower meadow said she has hardly seen a bee this summer. In my garden, which is wilderness, I have noticed butterflies but very few bees. It's worrying
