A lot of these decisions are not so much basketball decisions as they are financial decisions. Some of these guys would have been asked to take on different roles or even less money. Can’t blame players for trying to cash in by getting in the portal. That’s just where we are now in college sports. But Tennessee under Rick Barnes has gone to three straight Elite Eights and four straight Sweet 16s with different players and coaches coming and going. Don’t see that changing, as Tennessee will give him the money he needs to bring in more proven scorers and players who value playing in a proven program.
