@RNPrime@tsjules007 Prime Ali (as you say, the year or two before he was stripped in 65-67, although we may have forever lost truly prime Ali in the years he was stripped) vs Prime Lewis might just be the greatest potential fight in HW boxing history. What a hypothetical matchup.
@lancekavl@N17Nomad@TellonTue@ripplicious@primesignalHQ You don’t accidentally pull the trigger on a knife blowing your cousins brains out. Fucking pissant logic of another bury-your-head-in-the-sand coward afraid of reality.
@Baggio2345 My honest opinion on this is…put your animals on a fucking leash. You can’t train instinct out of animals - and dogs always will be beholden to their nature, no matter what owners might claim. This is on the bigger dog owner, simple as that.
@s03247980@BrandonBaimhtt@trad_west_ Incorrect - if you’re seeking the literal Arabic meaning, god is not a factor. Linguistically it means submissive to a subject - and can be applied to, submitting to a contract, an authority etc.
Eg. A term used to describe someone who was subordinate to a tribal leader.
@MisterCommodity@knappaste In true sporting endeavour - the business comes through the sport.
In the US, you’re ass backward. Cant even muster the bottle to have a threat to failing - instead rewarding failure with 1st place incentives (eg. the draft). US “sport” is the ultimate socialist business.
@mattborman@tonykular@talkSPORT Yeah, there’s no way a 1966 🥇 is being valued at £850k. Max £250k-ish for a players medal you’d reckon (which alone of course wouldn’t even meet the taxable threshold for IT).
I think by TS focussing on just the medal they’re painting a slightly false picture of the bill.
@DwagonFwame@PeterMcCormack Hey, it’s the human junk mail back with a replay of her greatest hits!
“You have been pre-qualified, so sign-up now to hear a relentless dribble of misinformed straw man points on repeat! 0% interest*”
Seriously, were you reared by a barclaycard?
*in every sense of the word
@DwagonFwame@PeterMcCormack Talking about the hoarding of wealth, and Chucky here walks in with a hard-on for credit cards like he’s on commission to shill sign-ups. I’m sorry cochese, did you get off at 2026 thinking it’s 1996?
@DwagonFwame@PeterMcCormack “Lol. I immediately debunked your claim of credit being hoarded wealth & all you can say in retort is noooooooo. Lol”
Definitely a sentence (loose sense of the term) typed by an informed individual. Totally informed. A totally, definitely not 15 year old, informed individual.
@DwagonFwame@PeterMcCormack Haha, the kid loves to distract with anything trite he can muster to simply avoid talking about the problem.
Any more outdated and oversimplified analogies to muster up? Or do you wanna call back your good pal the straw man?
How’s your hoard - suitably stashed?
@DwagonFwame@PeterMcCormack Way hay! Sounds like the boy might have got it (…albeit via the scenic route - broken clocks and all that). Thats the whole point. They’re not liquid - it’s hoarded wealth. Used to loan against to create liquid income. Assets ring-fenced from being properly utilised.
@DwagonFwame@PeterMcCormack You’d struggle to fill a swimming pool with stocks and shares, real estate and land wouldn’t you? I.e tangible assets beyond income. Which is and can be manipulated to avoid such things. But you crack on oversimplifying and distilling ideas down to avoid discussing the problems.
@cristo_radio By your own metric (which for hypothetical reasons - let’s assume is accurate)…that means 80% of homeowners would be better off?
An 80/20 majority is often considered pretty much a slam dunk, is it not?
Or are we dealing with a “can only chase perfection” fallacy?
@Good_Old_Blakey@NotFarLeftAtAll You think your council tax is purely about maintaining street lighting & emptying bins?
They literally send you a breakdown of what the money proportionally goes toward 🤦♂️
Even though that isn’t going to be 100% accurate, it’s worth a read. Folks can’t be this narrow minded…
@JamesCleverly Deliberately dumb straw man arguments to avoid discussing… standard practice on these platforms.
Moving the needle would require more than a couple voluntary donations - a 2% tax on all wealth assets over £10m for all in that scenario does move the needle - hence the pitch
@darrengrimes That doesn’t move the needle though does it? Hence the campaign to get all wealth assets over £10m taxed at a 2% annual levy, equating to (they claim) £24b surplus per annum. 2% once doesn’t achieve that - & you obviously know it. But keep up your straw man to avoid discussing.
