@haunted0clock According to Raymun, Aerion only acted chivalrously when his father was around so I don’t think Maekar knew all about Aerion's true nature (he only knew Daeron's drunk ass) 🙃 I guess the only reason he didn’t betroth Daella to Aerion was age gap
