@liz_love_lace@she_llac yeah I’d also wager this is a good portion of the linux traffic
the amount of people moving to linux for daily use each year is likely quite small overall
@CircadianCrystl@YngviCom there actually have been a few studies where they give Blanchard style questionnaires to cys women
the majority would be classified as AGP if you held them to the same standard as tgirls
@scottdomes (and given that the process of becoming a therapist selects for people who are relatively risk averse, people-pleasing, compassionate, etc, most of the people who would be good at the latter approach do not end up becoming therapists)
@scottdomes it’s also much safer liability and reputation-wise for a therapist to act as the former
the latter requires far more confidence, critical thinking, and overall competence to execute than acting as a cozy confessional booth imo
(speaking as someone who has seen many therapists)
@plzgibmonies@cremedupepe it can be painful but it’s so worth it, it even makes my muscles spasm sometimes before they finally relax
most people have super tight upper glutes (lol)
Now I'm about to say something that is not an insult, it's simply something I believe based on the available data: J.D. Vance is a gay man with a fake wife, and she desperately wanted to marry her longtime boyfriend (and J.D.'s "best friend") Vivek Ramaswamy, who dumped her
this has happened with a few boat companies in the past
they make a boat that lasts decades, consumers love it, but then they go bankrupt unless they kill the product line and successfully pivot
@revividity@gssp_acc@LLMSherpa@tszzl for sure! dosage also affects it a lot in my experience; 200-300mg caffeine helps me focus, but 150 or less puts me to bed
amphetamines have always been less sleepy to me than ritalin or caffeine though, we’re kinda opposites lol
@malyshka444 even as a (recovering) anorexic with an amphetamine prescription, I have a ton of empathy for people who have trouble losing weight
restricting is often the first thing I do when stressed, but if binging provided a similar respite I’m sure I’d struggle with that too
startup idea: KovaaK’s ripoff with a specialized eye tracker
give the autists “masking leaderboards” to grind and the neurotypicals will never clock us
@gssp_acc@LLMSherpa@tszzl if stimulants make you fall asleep then you almost certainly have ADHD
(this also happened to me with ritalin before I got officially diagnosed lol)
some of the most ridiculous fits I’ve seen have come from ct and I love it
but yeah, the best move is to just remove all of the visible logos/branding that one can and focus on silhouette with uniqlo stuff for a while
once you figure out what you want outside of trends, drop some more money on nicer jackets, shoes, accessories, etc
(in the meantime, just take care of skin/hair and stay fit)
@phujoshi and then getting the medication to fix “you people cant do anything” disorder requires you to be very prudent about scheduling + attending appointments, timing your limited refills, and passing a speech check with a doctor every once in a while
awesome experience
"Today is the Day" - Scumtron (2007, originally posted on SomethingAwful)
although I didn't find it until a few years ago, this is my favorite video from the old internet.
the idea that you have to rip apart or immolate your current self to fit in or find success is far too pervasive. you will forever be swimming upstream against your own instincts, and whatever acceptance or validation from the crowd you get will not reach your soul through an inauthentic mask.
people can of course change, embody different archetypes, and play particular social roles when needed, but doing this *in a way that integrates your baseline, immutable self* is really the only path to sustainable progress.
if you hollow out everything that makes you *yourself*, your *immutable self* WILL come back to rip apart whatever ill-fitting mask you are trying to wear, likely at some sort of low or inflection point in your life.
instead, nurture your soul/immutable self, integrate your shadow, and in the times you need to wear a mask or play a particular social role, do it in a way that retains the aspects of yourself which are appropriate for the situation.
"We all have multiple identities. That's not abnormal. It's part of being human. Identity is prismatic. We are multi-faceted. Google and Facebook would have you believe you are a mirror, that there is one reflection that you have, one idea of self... but in fact we are more like diamonds. You can look at people from any angle and can see something totally different, but they are still the same." - moot
