These were the key remarks from the Vice Mayor in Charge of Economic Development @UWANYIRIGIRAcl3 of @MusanzeDistrict as she officially opened TICO Rwanda's two-day capacity-building workshop on the implementation of ILO Convention No. 190.
She emphasized that government institutions, employers, workers' organizations, civil society, and development partners all have a vital role to play in building safe, respectful, and inclusive workplaces. She also commended the collaboration between @TicoRwanda and @CanadainRwanda, through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), for equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and practical tools needed to translate the principles of ILO Convention No. 190 into meaningful action.
From @KayonzaDistrict to @MusanzeDistrict , our journey to promote decent work for all continues. Through this two-day workshop, district leaders, employers, workers' representatives, civil society organizations, and youth leaders are coming together to strengthen partnerships and advance collective action toward workplaces where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Jigsaw Technique: An innovative way of learning together and finding solutions together.
As part of our stakeholder training workshop on ILO Convention No. 190, participants engaged in an innovative learning approach using real workplace scenarios on violence and harassment.
The session went beyond traditional presentations. Stakeholders actively shared experiences, discussed practical challenges, and worked together to identify solutions that can help create safer and more respectful workplaces.
It was inspiring to see participants take ownership of the discussion, learn from each other, and contribute their perspectives from different sectors. The energy and commitment shown during the session demonstrated how interactive learning can strengthen understanding and inspire action.
Together, we are building stronger partnerships and promoting workplaces where dignity, respect, and safety are protected for everyone.

@TicoRwanda has successfully concluded a two-day stakeholder training workshop on ILO Convention No. 190, bringing together key actors in @KayonzaDistrict committed to promoting safe, respectful, and harassment-free workplaces in Rwanda.
The workshop brought together Human Resource professionals, Managing Directors, Managers, district leadership, labour inspectors, representatives from the (Private Sector Federation , the National Council of Persons with Disabilities , the National Youth Council ,public mass mobiliser, District Youth Coordinators),and security organs.
Through interactive discussions and practical sessions, participants strengthened their understanding of preventing violence and harassment in the world of work, reporting and response mechanisms, workplace responsibilities, and practical approaches to implementing the principles of ILO Convention No. 190.
This workshop was more than a training—it was a collective commitment to building workplaces where dignity, respect, equality, and safety are protected for everyone.

We were pleased to welcome Ms. Larissa Amour, Programme Manager – France at Sistech to the TICO office in Kigali.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for exchange on shared priorities around women and youth empowerment, skills development, and inclusive economic opportunities.
We presented TICO’s work, with focus on our Entrepreneurial Design Fellowship (#EDF), which equips young people with entrepreneurship skills, fosters innovation, and supports them to develop community-driven solutions.
Ms. Larissa expressed appreciation for TICO’s work and was inspired by the impact of #EDF.
