The Lagos State Government Officials are excited to be a part of the FIG Working Week as they continue to learn how to incorporate geospatial information and surveying sustainable practice into the Lagos State system.
Today, the Lagos State Government hosted the Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Abia State, Hon. Chaka Ikenna Chukwumerije @ChakaIkenna, alongside officials from the Abia State Ministry of Lands, on a study tour to Lagos State.
The visit is aimed at learning and understanding Lagos State’s land administration framework, particularly the deployment of technology-driven solutions to address land-related challenges and enhance service delivery.
The delegation was received by the Special Adviser on eGIS and Urban Development, Dr Olajide Babatunde, where they held an interactive session and were taken on a guided tour of key facilities, including the ongoing Lagos GIS Centre, Land Digitization Centre, Lagos Land Archive, and the Electronic Physical Planning Centre.
The team also visited the Lagos State Lands Bureau, where they engaged with the Executive Secretary of Lands Bureau and other senior officials of the Department, exchanging insights and best practices in land administration and management.

RIOT ACT TO DEVELOPERS AND ARTISANS
The General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), Arc. Gbolahan Oki today reads the riot act to developers, supervisors and most especially artisans that are fond of attacking Govt officials that come for inspection on construction sites.
He says, anybody that attacks Government officials that are on inspection duty on any particular construction site, the site will be demolished.
He spoke today at the 4-Day launching of Certified Accreditors Programme and Training of the Accreditors ongoing at White Stone event center, Billings Way, Oregun, Ikeja.

Mr Jafaar, There is an agreement between Alaba Rago Central Market Traders Association and the State Government to rebuild the place, to complement the Lagos Badagry road infrastructure and flyovers we built, No need to run it into a tribal issue, face the emir issue without bringing us into it.
