Musk got on stage with a CHAINSAW. He bragged about feeding USAID into a woodchipper! You can't then claim to be "deeply troubled" when people express anger about the stuff Musk openly bragged about doing!!!!!
feel like I'm taking crazy pills here
a good middle manager looks like a guy who just drinks coffee and forwards emails, but his actual job is secretly absorbing insane executive requests so the team can just do their work
JD Vance: "I think Nixon's historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12 hours news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy."
@paulpowlesland While I don’t disagree with the sentiment, this was a bit more than just picking up some rubbish - they had an excavator and cleared some trees. He knew what he was doing and what the reaction would be - but if the framing of this embarrasses them into doing more I’m all for it
Donald Trump being unable to negotiate his way out of a paper bag despite having the most powerful military in the world at his disposal would be an amusingly fitting way for support for his presidency to finally collapse.
MAGA will be remembered as the most embarrassing political phenomenon ever to stain the history of America, just a gutter movement that elevated the worst, dumbest, most vile among us
Donald Trump ran for office for three reasons:
1) stay out of jail
2) exact revenge on his enemies
3) line his pockets
Everything else he says is bullshit.
COMMENTARY: Let’s say it plainly: There has never been a president as corrupt as Donald Trump.
There is no close second in our history.

I've been doing this work a long time but nothing prepared me for what I saw on a recent reporting trip in Somalia. I was there to look into rising food and fuel prices from the war in the Middle East landing atop dramatic cuts to the international humanitarian relief system.
Seriously guys, whatever happened to:
• the DOGE checks
• tariff checks
• the Greenland hospital boat
• 10% APR on credit cards
• my meds being 1500% cheaper
• $2 gas
• the Epstein files
• reopening the Strait of Hormuz that was already open
• cheaper groceries
• ending wars in 24 hours
• the “privately funded” ballroom
Any updates?
Sorry y'all, but it is Christopher Nolan. I'll go see the Odyssey and probably enjoy it because it is Christopher Nolan, and I'm going to go into this assuming the guy who brought us Interstellar and the Dark Knight knows what he is doing better than Twitter.
@taipan168@cosmicjester For something truly courageous - reduce the tobacco excise to curtail organised crime and a likely increase in Govt revenue to boot - could be offset politically with a corresponding reduction in the alcohol excise. Can’t imagine too much opposition apart from the Greens
@taipan168@cosmicjester There’s no argument *for* bracket creep of course - benefits both parties to make periodic adjustments as “tax cuts” - but if introduced would be popular. GST to 15% only gets across the line if you eliminate some other big tax - can only think of stamp duty?
