lots of mobile creators joined today! looks like ASOptimus found its people. time to announce for everyone waiting:
free beta for everyone on the waitlist starts July 29th
still time to join, founders. no auth, no card details required = worth trying at least
gift time: ran a follower's app through the ASOptimus engine π
fed it the raw app's description - it hit App Store servers with thousands of real searches and scored keyphrases that are popular AND winnable
@JohannHerr_ your 17 top phrases below, go experiment βοΈ
X creators, what got you to your first 1000 followers: posting daily or replying daily?
i'm doing both and replies pull more attention, but posts are the only thing that compounds. curious which one you'd cut
ASOptimus fires thousands of live app store searches at your app and tells you which keywords you can actually win, not which ones sound good.
drop your app below. i'll pick the one i like most, run it through, and tell you what to fix on your store page to get downloads.
day 8/30: every word in your title and subtitle is already indexed. repeating it in the keyword field buys you nothing.
Apple builds one pool from title + subtitle + keywords and combines the words itself. a duplicate is a character you paid for twice.

mobile app founders - this one's for you
starting today: 30 days, 30 tips to push your app up in store search. no fluff, no generic "improve your screenshots" advice - specific mechanics most devs have never heard of
day 1 is about a tactic that feels illegal (it's not) π
distribution at 0 users has almost nothing in common with distribution at 10k. the thing that got you your first 100 is usually the thing that stalls you at 1000.
you don't learn this once. every stage turns you back into a beginner
final tip: the device frame inside your screenshot eats a third of your pixels.
at thumbnail size the bezel, the shadow and the margin around it take the space your caption needed. crop straight to the screen content.
nobody downloads an app over a nice mockup shadow
mobile app devs - you've heard "the first screenshot matters most" a hundred times here
but nobody tells you HOW
so here's a mini-series π
tip 1: your first screenshot must survive as a thumbnail. shown tiny in search - if the text isn't readable that small, it get's ignored
the US store gives you 100 keyword characters. you actually get 200.
Apple indexes the English (U.S.) and Spanish (Mexico) locales together for us searches. fill ES-mx with a completely different keyword set and both count.
no translation needed. English words are fine
@kirtandopamine hey, i'm working on an engine that helps with app distribution. building isn't the issue - distribution is, that's why i think it's a solid niche to go after
