Reminder: Water access points in East Hants continue to be closed. Waterways are still considered unsafe due to the rain event on July 21. Avoid swimming in areas where flooding occurred, as higher than normal bacteria levels can be expected after a significant flooding event.

Due to impacts of the flooding on July 22, 2023, Smileys Provincial Park, Hants County is closed for the remainder of the parks season. Cleanup work is underway and the park is closed to all visitors.
