Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost (1 Tim 4:19) | Author with work in @bluemarbleREV and @inparenth | Happily Married!
Decided to make a whole chapter about the theory that my main character was probably a spy. Will we ever know? I'll update you once I write the chapter.
#AuthorsOfTwitter how do you handle preorder goodies? I want to give preorders a special flair, but I can't decide what would be A) most financially feasible and B) most appealing. What do you think?
I'm kind of sick so I #amediting my novel draft and I'm SO excited to flesh out some plot points. It's taken me three drafts to get the plot right, and I'm not going to let it flop now!
BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY is @QianJulieWang's memoir about moving to New York City when she was a child and living in poverty in the richest country in the world. It is about a girl coming of age in the shadows, who never stops seeking the light. Read an excerpt:

#amreading a romance #book and the banter is good, the relevant industry references are good, and the pacing seems solid. But when is a romance too cheesy? I think we might have hit that level.
It might just be me. I don't like books sugarcoating serious topics like academic elitism or abusive teachers. I know the author means well, but laughing off "you have to be the best" school pressure just doesn't sit right with me. Maybe it'll be addressed later?
As if today hasn't been fantastic enough, here's another anthology for Southern writers. I'm not harassment-worthy, but still excited about the opportunity!
My creepy, historical, Texas-McTexasface CNF has another place to potentially call home :)
Today I wrote a fantastically terrifying #shortstory for a Southern Gothic anthology.
I'm curious: what do you think of when you hear "Southern Gothic"?
I think of thumbs (thanks to an odd high school "A Rose for Emily" project). My husband thinks of flying buttresses.
Anyone?
Okay. I'm tweeting now, and I plan to tweet once a day about my #amwriting progress from now on. I might not be funny or successful or particularly in tune with Twitter in general, but boy do I want to figure out how this works.
@marianneLchan My first was a community college literary journal, but @UAFSApplause had an awesome virtual launch party when I was published with them!
Moving characters from one place (emotional or physical) to the next. I always end up losing my tension to stay a little longer in one scene or another!!
My rejection letter from @brevitymag was so nice that it lifted my spirits instead of crushing them as per usual. It's always nice to feel valued as a human being :) Happy last day of the year, all!
