Dr. Abel Damina Blasts Pastor Korede Komaiya Over His Comment About Poor Pastors
Pastor Korede Komaiya reportedly said during a sermon, “I will never follow a poor pastor. Nothing will make me follow a poor pastor.”
Reacting to the statement, Dr. Abel Damina criticised Komaiya, describing him as a promoter of greed, avarice, materialism, and discontentment.
Dr. Damina cited 1 Timothy 6:7, which says that we brought nothing into this world and can take nothing out of it. He argued that Komaiya's statement reflected a struggle with poverty, adding that a truly wealthy person would not speak that way.
Dr. Damina also criticised Komaiya for collecting money from people he described as poor while boasting about his wealth. He further remarked that if Komaiya met Bill Gates, he would use his suit to clean Gates' shoes.
Addressing the biblical arguments, Dr. Damina accused Komaiya of misinterpreting Proverbs 18:1 and referred to him as a lying pastor. He also cited Revelation 3:17–18, arguing that the passage warns against measuring spiritual standing by material wealth.
Dr. Damina went further, saying that if Komaiya were his spiritual son, he would take him home and beat him for bringing disgrace to the Christian community.
He also questioned the impact of such statements on pastors serving poor communities, arguing that the message could discourage ministers in rural areas who dedicate their lives to preaching to people living in poverty.
In 1963, as a young priest, Cardinal Simoni was arrested, tortured, and sentenced to death by the Communist authorities for offering Mass for the soul of John F. Kennedy.
His sentence was later converted to life imprisonment of hard labor. Communist authorities offered to free him if he renounced his faith. He didn’t and after 28 years of penal labour, he was eventually freed.
Pope Francis heard his testimony during his trip to Albania in September 2014, visibly moved to tears by the words of this priest, whom he always called a “living martyr”. In 2016, Pope Francis named him a Cardinal, thanking him for this testimony "that does good for the Church." He chose the motto: “My Immaculate Heart will Triumph.”
This picture was neglected, and thanks to this beautiful artwork, it can be a memorable picture. Sometimes we hardly see the beauty and love shown by the people.
I will check out for this beautiful art

The Catholic Church, beauty, love, faith and truth have won, hands down
