@Streettough I can only speak for c.1997 (when the economy was barely turned around from the very dire early 90s) and multi rounds wasn't even the case then. It was a chat and if they liked you and they needed somebody you were given a shot. Sometimes you'd miss out if there was only one job
@C_3C_3 The media in the UK is tightly restricted on reporting on a trial that's still ongoing so as not to prejudice the case. Now there's been a conviction it's all over the BBC. It's not a cover up or bias or whatever other bollocks you say it is; it's how it's always been done
@g_shullenberger nice! Nothing like criticising an 'analysis of power relations disguised as knowledge' and then getting a chubb on because EM quote tweets you
@StevenWallaby@regularaugust If I remember it kinda isn't a complete film, in the sense that Tony Kaye wanted his name taken off as director after the studio wanted further edits that Ed Norton ended up getting involved with, and it did not go well for Kaye at all and it left it all messy
@Bdubs1776 I feel it's nothing new, and has always been the same, but social media has amplified it/made it a force multiplier. I'd wager somebody who grew up poor (not same as broke) is not choosing to squat with Joe Strummer
@balefulrays oh drinking through the garden hose was for wimps. i used to soak puddles up with my clothes and suck the water out for hydration. hopefully it had a bit of leaded petrol in it
