Desde el 24 de junio, fecha en la que ocurrió el doble terremoto, en Vargas nadie duerme, ni descansa. Familias enteras, junto a vecinos, escavan y buscan a sus desaparecidos entre los escombros.

Muchos denuncian el abandono del Estado y decidieron no esperar por nadie. Así, huecos enormes se abren paso entre edificios caídos y calles destruidas. Nadie se va hasta sacar al último.
