This #EPWeek2026, I joined my provincial and territorial counterparts to share a simple message: know your risks and be prepared.
Emergencies can happen anywhere, at any time. Taking small steps now can make all the difference.
And just like that the Liberal Alberta Caucus increased in size by 50%!
Great to have MP Matt Jeneroux join @coreyhoganyyc and I at our caucus meeting this morning. More Albertans at the table means a stronger voice for our province in Ottawa.
Looking forward to working together to deliver for Edmontonians and Albertans, and to Build Canada Strong. 🇨🇦
As Alberta’s voice in the federal cabinet, I am here to be a champion for our province.
Today, I had an important meeting with Premier @ABDanielleSmith on how we can work together to deliver for Albertans.
As the new Federal lead for Jasper recovery, the Premier and I will work closely together to build Jasper back better and stronger.
We are at our best when we are united.
Parliament is back in full swing, and our government is getting the job done!
From the full rollout of the Regional Tariff Relief Initiative (RTRI), to the launch of the Major Projects Office, to the upcoming generational budget — Canadians can be excited about the future of our country. 🇨🇦
//
Prairie businesses and non-profits continue to adapt and lead — even as U.S. and Chinese tariffs create real pressures.
That’s why, through the Regional Tariff Relief Initiative (RTRI), we’re supporting them with up to $1M in non-repayable funding and $5M in repayable support to strengthen productivity, grow, and diversify markets in the new economy.

Thank you, Chrystia, for your tremendous work in public service over the past ten years. From Parliament Hill to Cabinet, your leadership has made a lasting difference for Canadians. I’ll always be grateful for the way you took the time to mentor me as a woman finding her footing when I was first elected — I’m personally grateful.
Today, along with my colleagues @MandyGullMasty and @coreyhoganyyc, I gave my third update on this year’s historic wildfire season.
My heart is with the families who have lost homes, the communities that remain on alert, and the brave first responders and volunteers working around the clock.
At every step, our government is standing with provinces, territories, and Indigenous partners to ensure they have the support they need. From Canadian Armed Forces deployments to humanitarian assistance for evacuees, we’ll keep delivering the help Canadians need in the face of these devastating fires.
Some of the best staffers I've work with are new Canadians, permanent residents, people who flew wars or got to Canada because they wanted a better life.
They understand why it's worth protecting our country from the kind of retoric Ruba is trying to bring here.
